Jody Steiger

Jody Steiger is a Costa Rican-based designer and theater director who has worked on over five hundred national and international productions.  At the National Theater, she served on the Board of Directors from 2002 to 2008 and as Director from 2008 to 2010, during which she focused on opening the arts to a wider and more diverse audience. As a board member on AcciónArte, she continues her work to expand the arts and education.  Steiger earned a PhD in Education and Social Development from the University of La Salle in Costa Rica. She is currently the Director of University Life at Latin University of Costa Rica (ULatina). In addition to her position as Director of University Life she also serves as the President of the ARDE Foundation for Art and Development. ARDE has partnered with Spark Media for educational and community outreach on First Lady of the Revolution.
